As we continue through the new term at Hoppa Setagaya, the Sirius Class has been extremely busy learning new things and having tons of fun!

新学期が始まり、新しいことを学び、たくさんの楽しみを持って大忙しのシリウスクラス（５歳児）!

今回のブログでは、そんなシリウスクラスの運動遊び・English time・プログラミングレッスンの様子をご紹介します。

◆運動遊び

At Hoppa Setagaya, we take physical fitness and playtime seriously. Our Sirius Class is all about making sure our kids get their daily dose of exercise and play.

We’ve got a ton of exciting games lined up for them, ranging from classics like Duck Duck Goose and Tag to some cool and creative ones like Fishing for Cones and relay races. We have been on several walks this spring, watching and identifying the flowers bloom and bugs multiply all around us as well!

It’s not just about staying fit but also about learning teamwork, socializing, and improving those motor skills. We believe that an active body leads to an active mind, and we’re all about keeping those energy levels up!

HOPPA世田谷では体力づくりと遊びの時間を大切にしています。

Duck Duck Goose や Tag などの古典的なゲームから、Fishing for Cones やrelay racesなどのクリエイティブなゲームまで、エキサイティングなゲームをたくさん行っています。

この春、何度か散歩に出かけ、周囲で花が咲き、たくさんの虫が活動する様子を観察しました。

散歩に出かけるということは、健康を維持することだけでなく、チームワーク、社交性を学び、運動能力を向上させることにもつながります。

活動的な身体は活動的な精神につながると考えており、そのエネルギーレベルを維持することに全力を尽くしています。

◆English time

We all know that learning a language isn’t just about memorizing vocabulary and grammar. It’s about communicating and connecting with others in the real world.

In our English classes, we’re taking language learning to a whole new level.

Recently, we’ve kicked off an exciting project where our students create dialogues that mirror real-life conversations. The latest challenge for the kids have been creating an atmosphere were a customer at a restaurant is chatting it up with the staff, asking relevant questions, ordering several things off a menu and paying the appropriate amount for their meal before they leave.

It`s been so much fun! Our little English speakers are learning to express themselves, be polite, and gain confidence in using English outside the confines of our school.

We’re equipping them with the skills they need to navigate the global stage!

言語の学習とは、たんに語彙や文法を暗記することではありません。言語を学習するということは現実世界で他の人とコミュニケーションし、つながることです。

HOPPA世田谷経堂では、言語学習を新しいレベルに引き上げています。

最近、子どもたちと一緒に様々なシーンで実際に行われている対話を英語で作成するプロジェクトを開始しました。

最近挑戦した課題は、レストランの客がスタッフと雑談したり、関連する質問をしたり、メニューを見て注文したり、帰る前に適切な食事代を払ったりするような雰囲気を作り出すことでした。

とても楽しかったです！

子どもたちは、自分自身を表現し、礼儀正しくすることを学び、学校の外で英語を使うことに自信を持っています。

先生たちは、子どもたちが世界の舞台で活躍するために必要なスキルを身につけてほしいと願っています。

◆プログラミングレッスン

HOPPA世田谷経堂では、プログラミングレッスンもEnglih teacherが担当しています！

In the amazing world of Programming, the Sirius Class are already seasoned adventurers alongside Cubetto. They’ve become so familiar with our favorite little robot that they’ve taken up the challenge of creating individualized programs to guide Cubetto on missions.

Each student crafts a unique program, strategizing their way through obstacles to reach a specific goal. It’s an exhilarating experience that puts their logical thinking and problem-solving skills to the test!

They have been introduced to new rules recently like avoiding certain points on the map and utilizing our blue function block to save steps, creating sequences as efficiently as possible! The last few lessons in Programming have been challenging but the Sirius Class have been up for the task!

シリウスクラスはプログラミングの素晴らしい世界を冒険しています。

子どもたちはプログラミングロボットのキュベットにとても慣れています。みんなでキュベットをガイドするための個別のプログラムの作成に挑戦しました。

子どもたちはキュベットが障害を乗り越えて特定の目的地に到達するためにはどうすればよいのか、自分たちでプログラムを考えています。

論理的思考力と問題解決能力が試される爽快な体験です。

最近では、マップ上の特定のポイントを回避したり、行動の繰り返しを意味する青いファンクションブロックを利用して工程を節約したり、可能な限り効率的にシーケンスを作成したりするなど、新しいルールが導入されました。

レッスンは難しかったですが、シリウスクラスはその課題に全力で取り組みました。

※キュベットとは、コントロールパネルに方向を示すブロックをはめることで動く、幼児用のプログラミング教材ロボットです。

There you have it! Our students are having a blast with energetic games, becoming programming wizards, and honing their English communication skills.
