「最高級の環境で最上級の教育を」 HOPPAの学童保育 “THE HOPPA ROYAL KIDS”
今年度のサマースクールも8月末をもって終了しました！
今回はサマースクール恒例「街行く外国の方々に英語でインタビュー」の様子をアリー先生がお届けします！
それではアリー先生にバトンタッチ～♪

It is that time of year again: Summer!
It is a fun time to live in Kyoto!
There are lots of people visiting from other countries during the summer break.
Since English is a language spoken around the world, the students at THE HOPPA ROYAL KIDS were given the task to talk to people from other countries in English.
But what did we ask?
This year the children created and choose their own questions that they wanted to ask.
Everyone wanted to ask questions about animals.
This interview took place after we went to Nifreru.
They loved the tigers and crocodiles!
インタビュー内容は子どもたちに考えてもらいましたよ。
エキスポシティのニフレルにいって、トラやワニに大興奮だった子どもたち。
その直後のインタビューということもあり、みんな「動物」についてインタビューしたかった様子でした 😆
We had student from Pre-Eiken level to Eiken 3 level asking questions.
This was both a talking and listening activity.
英検3級をパスしたお友だちも、これから英検に頑張って取り組むお友だちも挑戦！
talkingとlisteningを鍛える実践アクティビティです 😎
The students started off nervous, but their confidence grew the more they talked with the friendly travelers.
They were speaking without the teachers help.
The students all introduced themselves, which was followed by questions.
At the end of the interview, they said, “Thank you!”
They could not stop smiling!
最初は少し緊張気味だった子どもたち。
でもインタビューに答えてくださったみなさんとても親切で、子どもたちも先生のヘルプなしで、自信をもって堂々とお話することができました。
最後は「Thank you！」と、終始笑顔が輝いていた子どもたちです 😆
When the interview was over, the students said they want to find one more person to interview!
This was a great opportunity to show the student that you can use English outside of the classroom in a fun way.
Not only did the child learn how to do an interview, but they were able to practice their self-introductions.
インタビューの内容だけでなく、自己紹介の仕方も練習していた子どもたち。
教室を出て、英語を使って外国の方々とコミュニケーションがとれることを実感できたとても良い機会になりました。
This year, our third-year students were more than eager to make small-talk in-between asking questions.
They got so excited when they were able to connect with the people traveling in Japan.
小学3年生のお友だちはさすが！
その英語力を活かし、ただ質問するだけでなく、その内容から会話がどんどん膨らんでいきます。
英語でコミュニケーションがたくさんとれて、子どもたちも大興奮でしたよ 😆

You were so kind and generous with you your time with the students!
I could not be more impressed with the students!
They showed a tremendous amount of courage to speak in all English with a person they do not know.
In the classroom, you can feel extra motivated to learn more English and do well on their Eiken Test from the students.
