This is PART 2 of this months` blog series!

In the last blog, we went to the “We Love Cats Anytime” exhibit at the Museum of Kyoto.

One of the activities the kids loved was the cats catching the butterfly.

This was done by magnets!

前回に続き、今回もEnglish time担当のアリー先生がお届けします！

THE HOPPA ROYAL KIDSの課外授業＠京都文化博物館 （コチラ）。

「いつだって猫展」の展示で、ROYAL KIDSが夢中だった「キャットゲーム」。

How about we try this at the HOPPA ROYAL KIDS?

早速、THE HOPPA ROYAL KIDSでも遊んでみました♪♪  

もちろん遊び道具も作りますよ。

アリー先生の英語のオーダー通りに作れるかな？

Each kid that came to class today got to make two cats!

First the student chooses what color they wanted for the background of the cat.

まずはネコの背景カラー選びからスタート 😛

好きな色を選びましょう♪

After that, the students colored their cats and pasted it on their origami paper!

Next, we taped paperclips on the back of the cats` paws and made a board for the cats to catch the butterfly.

その後はネコに色付け♪

折り紙に貼り付け♪

さらに、ネコの足にクリップ付けて・・

完成～！

この過程に日本語は入りません。

英語で考え、英語で遊ぶ、それがTHE HOPPA ROYAL KIDSのEnglish timeです 😎

ALL DONE!!!!!!

It is time to play~♪

But first let’s learn how to list item correctly in the room.

早速遊びましょう！！！

でもただ遊ぶだけでなく、「どんな猫なのか」センテンスで正しく伝えられるように練習もしましょう！

遊ぶ前にスピーキングのレッスンです 😛

The children were given a word bank of items that might be in their room.

It is common that while learning to list in English, the word AND used too much.

In this lesson the children have their sentence corrected and are given a chance to try again.

文法も含め、英語の4単元（スピーキング・リスニング・リーディング・ライティング）をアリー先生が英語で指導します。

“and”の使い方、複数形や単数形、aやanなどについて、丁寧にアリー先生が説明します。

優しく穏やかなアリー先生。

ミスを決して咎めません。

子どもたちも失敗を恐れず、何度も繰り返すことで、着実に力をつけていくことができています。

How does the cat game relate to an English lesson?

Here at the HOPPA Royal Kids, we can turn a simple game into a speaking lesson!

With the cats they children picked up, they had to list the color of the cats they caught.

One can see in the video it is a fun, safe class to speak English.　

ピックアップしたネコは何色だったかな？ 

ゲーム1回の制限時間は15秒。

みんながカウントする中、ドキドキ、ワクワク 😆
