Hello everyone!
My name is Mara-sensei, and I’m here to bring you a ✨ special ✨ English blog about Hoppa Yagisawa!
Once a month, I hope to write this special English blog to talk about how everyone at Yagisawa is doing in class.
In May, we focused on learning about our FEELINGS AND BODY.
皆さんこんにちは！今回はHOPPA柳沢に常駐する英語の先生のマーラ先生が ✨スペシャル ✨ブログをお届けします！
月に一度、HOPPA柳沢のみんなが、English timeでどのようなことをしているのかブログを通して紹介していきたいと思っています。
5月のEnglish timeのテーマとして、感情と体について学びました。
We had so much fun looking, feeling, and interacting with ourselves by creating faces with play dough and doing body puzzles!
The younger classes even got to play with stress balls and balloons as we sang songs about our feelings!
English timeでは、英語でお話ししながら、顔を作ったり、ボディパズルをしたりして、見たり、感じたり、交流したりしました。とても楽しかったですよ！
小さなクラスのお友だちも、感情に関する歌を歌っているときに、ボールや風船で遊ぶことができました！
Vega and Sirius class already have a good understanding of most body parts, so we expanded to talk about hair styles such as pigtails, bun, blonde hair, etc. We even looked at different people from around the world and used our vocabulary to describe them.
ベガ（4歳児）とシリウス（5歳児）のクラスは、すでに体の部位の名前をよく理解しているので、お団子やブロンドの髪などのヘアスタイルについて話しました
世界中のさまざまな人々を見て、たくさんの言葉を使って世界各国のヘアスタイルについて説明しました✨
The older classes are always working hard in in their writing classes. We practice phonics at least once a week and learn words that begin with each letter.
Sirius went from reviewing CVC words to learning how to pronounce long vowels, diagraphs, and blends.
大きなお友だちのクラスは、English timeの中でライティングを行っています。
そして、フォニックスを少なくとも週に一度練習し、各文字で始まる単語を学んでいます。
シリウスクラスのお友だちは、単語の復習や、様々の発音の仕方を学んでいますよ。
※フォニックスとは、一言で言うと英語の “つづり” と “音” の関係をルール化したものであり、英語圏で育つ子ども達が英語をどのように発音したり読んだりするのかを学ぶために広く使われている教授方法です。アルファベットには文字の名前を読む “the name of letter” （ネーム・オブ・レター）とアルファベットの音を読む “the sounds of letter” （サウンド・オブ・レター）があります。例えばA（エー）B（ビー）C（シー）と読まれるのが “the name of letter” でありA(ア) B（ブッ） C(クッ)と読まれるのが “the sounds of letter” となります。英語のつづり字の持つ音の規則を順序だてて指導していくのがフォニックスです。
My goal is for them to read any word!
Of course, English doesn’t just start and end in the classroom. At least once a week, we do an indoor or outdoor activity in English as well. We played many games such as “Musical Chairs,” “Steal the Nest,” and “Rock, Paper, Scissors, Snake!”
I hope we can continue to get used to these games and learn about more activities in English!
目標は、子どもたちががどんな単語でも読めるようになることです！
もちろん、英語に触れるのはEnglish timeだけではありません。少ない時でも週に一度、英語で話しながら屋内または屋外の活動を行っています。
「椅子取りゲーム」「巣を盗む」「じゃんけん！」など、たくさんのゲームをしましたよ。
今後も様々な活動を行い、ゲームに慣れ、もっと多くの活動をしながら英語を学ぶことができることを願っています！
