皆様、2021年3月にHOPPA世田谷経堂の子どもたちが、オーストラリアのお友だちと一緒に行った、オンラインレッスンを覚えていらっしゃいますでしょうか？

今年度も、待ちに待ったオーストラリアのGlobal Sky EducationのRobina Town Child Care Centreとのオンラインレッスンを開催しました！

前回の開催より少し時間が空きましたが、海を越えた場所にいるお友達と一緒に行うレッスンを今年度も開催することができました！子どもたちは、始まる前からワクワクしていましたよ✨

今回は、年度が変わってから初めてのレッスンということもあり、交流レッスンを行いました。昨年度のレッスンではお互いの国のクリスマスとお正月の文化を紹介したので、今回は「日本の食」と「オーストラリアの動物」について色々お話ししました。

Over the past two weeks, the Sirius Class had prepared, practiced and rehearsed a special presentation. The purpose of this particular presentation was for the children to resume and further develop the relationship they have with kids in a pre-school in Australia. Each school takes turns presenting information about their respective country, and asking questions that all the kids try to answer – all in English. We always have a great time talking to our Australian friends and this time was no exception.

HOPPA世田谷経堂の子どもたちが、オーストラリアの保育園に通うお友だちとの交流を再開し、さらに次のレッスンを向けて交流を深めていくことを目的としています！

この2週間、シリウスクラスのお友だち（5歳児）は、オーストラリアのお友だちの前で発表するために、たくさん準備してきました。

それぞれの国を英語で紹介する発表を行いましたよ✨発表の後の質問も英語で行います 😀 オーストラリアのお友達と楽しくお話しすることができました。

The Sirius Class decided they wanted to do a presentation about Japanese food and talk in detail about the cuisine you find in Japan. All the kids had individual speaking parts that included an introduction, a short talk about the Japanese diet, popular Japanese dishes and meals with pictures and a detailed description of a typical school bento the kids eat for lunch at Hoppa. Everyone did such a great job! They all spoke clearly and allowed our Australian audience to listen, see and even ask question about our presentation.

シリウスクラスは、日本食に関するプレゼンテーションを英語で行いました。

子どもたち全員に担当箇所があり、導入・日本の食生活・人気のある料理や食事について、写真付きで英語で紹介しました。

さらに、HOPPAがいつも提供している子どもたちの昼食についても詳しく説明しましたよ。

子どもたちは、本当によく頑張ってくれました。Good job!

HOPPA世田谷経堂の子どもたち全員が大きな声ではっきり英語で発表をしてくれたので、オーストラリアのお友達もお話の内容をよく理解し、発表内容について質問していましたよ。

Our Australian friends then told us all about Australian animals. They went over koalas, kangaroos, and crocodiles. After their talk, we were able to ask several questions about what their favorite animals are and why.

続いて、オーストラリアのお友達が、コアラ、カンガルー、ワニなどオーストラリアの動物について紹介してくれました。

オーストラリアのお友だちの発表を熱心に聞いていた世田谷経堂の子どもたち✨オーストラリアのお友だちの発表後に、好きな動物とその理由について質問をしていました。

Right after each presentation, we then played an action game. All of our kids had a specific action verb they acted out one by one and asked our Australian friends, “Guess what I`m doing!“ We used hand motions and sounds as clues. Everyone did such a great job acting out these verbs as our friends were able to guess them all correctly very quickly!

それぞれのプレゼンテーションの後に、アクションゲームを行いました。

子どもたちは皆、特定の動作を一人ずつ演じて、オーストラリアのお友だちに「何をしていると思う？」と尋ねます。

みんなはとても上手に演じていたので、すぐにクイズに正解していました！

By the end of our time, we decided it would be a great idea to sing the Goodbye Song and say farewell to our friends in the Southern Hemisphere. We all had a terrific time strengthening our friendships, learning more about each other and we can`t wait to see them again!

最後にGoodbye Songを歌って、南半球のお友だちに別れを告げました。友情を深め、お互いのことをより知ることができ、本当に素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができました。

海外に住むお友だちとの文化交流を通じて、子どもたちの世界が広がっていくことを願います！
