Hello again!

It is Allie back with another update about summer school.

Sadly, this blog is a little late, but we are back with a splash!

It was a hot summer, wasn’t it?

And there is nothing better about playing with some water on a hot summer’s day 😉

So, let’s talk about our activity for day 2!

Day 2: WATER PLAY

*Masks were taken off for the picture.

Everyone was very excited to play with the water this year.

With the Corona Virus, we wanted to be careful, so we enjoyed splashing water on ourselves and friends rather than swimming in the pool like last year.

Oh My Goodness!

You can see that everyone had fun!

It seems this year the “bucket hat” is in style.

We also had water balloons!

So do you know what that means?!

WATER BALLOON FIGHT!

With the ROYAL KIDS help we were able to make lots of water balloons 😎

Once everything was done the balloons were flying!

After water play was done, everyone had ENGLISH SPEECH TIME.

This year the students are practicing very hard for the KOKA ENGLISH SPEECH COMPETITION.

Last year as you remember, we had one of our students go on stage!

This year we hope to do the same..

I have been able to see so much growth in my student over the past month.

I think at this time it is very import to nurture our students with positivity.

One way that I can do this is by how I teach English.

There are many factors of communicating in English.

The one that is the most challenging and most highly critiqued is SPEAKING.

Since the speech is done in front of a group, the other kids congratulate one another when they make progress.

It is something that has made the students closer to each other at the same time.

After the speeches we went back to our normal studies and snack.
